If you've been tuning into The Little Paris Kitchen on BBC Two lately, you'll know what Rachel Khoo is all about.
Every year, the picturesque town of Rye on the South East coast welcomes lovers of seafood as the freshest scallops in the whole region are brought ashore.
Since the 1620s, Rye has been providing fish and seafood delicacies for the royal table, and this year's Rye Bay Scallop Week has expanded to include more workshops, tastings and events. Try your hand at scallop cookery at Webbe's at the Fish Café and Fishermans' Quay, scallop fritters served with soy sauce and mixed leaf salad at Bailey's on The Strand, or a trio of scallops, served with three matching fortified wines, at Landgate Bistro every day during the festival.
The nearby Beach Bistro at The Gallivant Hotel, Camber, will present a five-course scallop and seafood tasting menu, with everything coming from within 15 miles of the bistro.
