Wakefield Festival of Food, Drink & Rhubarb


Celebrate Yorkshire fare in the precinct of the majestic Wakefield Cathedral.

Yorkshire forced rhubarb is a bit of a delicacy of the county – MasterChef's Greg Wallace is a fan – and is only available between January and March, so February's festival offers the best of the crop.

As well as rhubarb products, over the three days there will be cookery demonstrations at the Festival Cookery Theatre from local, regional and celebrity chefs, such as Lee Marshall (Design House, Halifax), Liam Duffy (the new Iris Restaurant, Wakefield), Ashley McCarthy (Ye Old Sun Inn, Colton), and Rachel Green (The Flying Cook).
