The iLoveMyGrub Team

iLoveMyGrub.com came about through a handful of people who have always found it impossible to walk past food without indulging. Thick chips, garlic snails, berry fools, and syllabub – we’ll try it all here, pausing only to make space to go back for seconds.

Editor: Helenka Bednar
Our editor has always had difficulty resisting the contents of specialist food shops, her pantry and her fridge – well, anyone’s fridge. As a journalist she’s written for the likes of the BBC, the Guardian, Time Out and Easyjet and spends much of her time sourcing great products, attending tastings and scouring the land for restaurants that are worth shouting about. She's been on the judging panel at The Great Taste Awards and The Chocolate Academy Awards, and is all too aware of what a chocolate comedown feels like.

Technical: Mark Rushton
Mark has worked on websites for The Sunday Times, BMW, Mercedes, FIVE, and CartoonNetwork. Aside from being iLoveMyGrub’s tech and graphics guru, he also has an obsession with smoothies, an addiction to humous and an alarmingly high resistance to chillies. Must be all that blended fruit…

Jennifer Earle
Jennifer Earle loves chocolate so much that she set up her own company, Chocolate Ecstasy Tours, to let people in on some of London’s best-kept cocoa-coated secrets. In between trying out the latest 100% cocoa bars and stocking up at her favourite chocolate shops, she also gets through plenty of restaurant reviews for iLoveMyGrub.com. Craig Harper
Craig Harper grew up in the Scottish Highlands in an ideal living space – the family pub. His early introduction to the world of the public house made a lasting impression and although he attempted to resist the family business, his love of a good drink could not be shaken and has since taken him around the world. So 10 years, half a dozen bars, 3 livers, 28 distilleries and 2 bartender of the year awards later, he can often be found somewhere far from home, sharing his passion and knowledge of rum, gin, whisky and cocktails, with like minded and enlightened souls.

Tara O'Reilly This lady has had the enviable chore of reviewing restaurants for iLoveMyGrub.com, which has included the particularly difficult task of eating her way through the menu at 30 St Mary Axe, otherwise known as ‘The Gherkin’. A complete foodie, Tara is partial to the odd bit of liver, and has never been known to turn down sherry and cake either. Why would you?!
