The Boaters Inn has bagged an enviable spot on the stretch of The Thames between Kingston and Teddington Lock.
Jelly experts Bompas & Parr recently took their culinary exploits that little bit further, exhibiting a ‘walk in’ gin and tonic in London. The pair are best known for creating a glow-in-the-dark jelly for DJ Mark Ronson's birthday, as well as crafting jellies in weird and wonderful shapes. They also helped Heston Blumenthal out with the wobbly jelly he made during his recent TV series, 'Heston's Feasts'.
The jelly duo and are all set to turn their heads to finding other wacky adventures, and have recently got involved in the 'Creating Sense5' project. The project has been set up to find other weird and wonderful people. VICE magazine, known as ‘the coolest in the world’, has launched the competition to find five creative talents for The Creating Sense5 party. These fresh examples of new and innovative talent will be showcased at a one-off event in London on June 4th 2009. “It’s interesting”, says Sam Bompas about the event. “Something like Creating Sense5 is looking at cross-sensory, cross-disciplinary collaborations, which is quite fun!”
To mark the arrival of 5 (a new chewing gum from Wrigley), VICE are looking for creative genius in any form including mixologists, designers, photographers, artists – anything, like the gum, that intrigues and exhilarates the senses.
