Save the bees!

Jordan Cereals has launched a new campaign called The Big Buzz to save the dwindling number of bees in the UK. The national campaign aims to increase the amount of bee-friendly habitats in the UK and raise awareness of bees and their importance to our environment. Our lovely bees play a vital role in the food chain and thanks to their nature friendly farming, Jordans already has a stake in helping bees survive.

Get involved
Just pick up a special pack of delicious Jordans cereals or bars and you can create your very own ‘Buzz Stop’ - a little oasis for bees that’s ideal for your garden or even a small window box. Collect five codes on pack (there are two tokens on each pack of Country Crisp or Muesli and one token on packs of Frusli), go online to register and Jordans will send you a bee friendly lavender or rosemary plant. You could even send it to a friend as a gift. By planting bee friendly plants in our gardens we can turn Britain into a nation of ‘Buzz Stops’. You can watch the progress of The Big Buzz by frequently logging on to see the ‘plant-o-meter’ grow as more and more people sign up to plant bee-friendly habitats across the UK.

Jordans has also teamed up with local beekeepers and the British Beekeepers’ Association to create bee discovery centres across the UK for people, especially children, to learn more about bees. You can find one in the Climbers and Creepers children’s play area at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew (where you’ll also see wildflowers and beehives); in Bill Jordans’ very own Nature Reserve at Pensthorpe in Norfolk and at BuzzWorks Community Bee Garden in Hitchin, just down the road from Jordans’ home in Biggleswade, Bedfordshire.
