The Experimental Food Society
The Weird and Wonderful of the Culinary World.
The Experimental Food Society has been formed to front the UK’s most talented culinary creatives. Representing a troupe of ground-breaking gourmet artists who fuse food with other forms such as art, science or history, the society’s membership includes jelly mongers, one-of-a-kind dining conceptualists, cake artists, food landscapers and chocolate sculptors to name a few. Each unique in their field, the members are joined by their love of food and their desire to push it to new levels.
The organisation provides an online directory of members, a series of talks thoughout the year and an annual Experimental Food Society Spectacular at which members gather, each with an installation that demonstrates their unique culinary talents. An exhibition by day, the Experimental Food Society Spectacular culminates in an extraordinary banquet at which guests feast on the artworks accompanied by a series of food related performances.
