Pierre Hermé: new shop opens in London

Macaroons from Pierre Hermé

If you can tear your eyes away from that sensational photograph of Pierre Hermé’s world famous macaroons, so mouth-wateringly beautiful that you almost want to lick the screen, then you might be interested to hear that the first Pierre Hermé shop has just opened in London.

Pierre Hermé, world famous pastry chef, with shops in Tokyo and Paris, has graced sweet-toothed London with his presence, in the appropriately elegant location of Lowdes Street in Belgravia. Chef Pâtissier Pierre Hermé’s family have been in the patisserie business for generations. Pierre Hermé himself began his career at the young age of just fourteen working as an apprentice to Gaston Lenôtre, and became Head Chef Pâtissier of the exclusive Parisian food hall, Fauchon in his early twenties.

Since leaving Fauchon, Hermé has been introducing his stunningly colourful macaroons to the world, and we can feel honoured that he has decided to set up his latest shop in London. The Lowndes Street shop will serve classic Hermé macaroons as well as other Hermé products that were previously not available in England. There will also be unique chocolate lines available.

If you want to get your hands on some of these multicoloured little edible gems, head to Pierre Hermé in Belgravia, and visit the Pierre Hermé website from more information.
