Champagne cream tea at the Peggy Porschen Parlour

Bespoke cakes and confectionary, paired with Laurent-Perrier Cuvée Rosé, makes afternoon tea deliciously pretty in pink at Peggy Porschen's.

Champagne cream tea at Peggy Porschen's Parlour

How do you upgrade a cream tea? Head to Peggy Porschen's cake parlour in Belgravia, London, that's how. This boutique find in SW1 couldn't get any prettier if it tried. With its powder pink shop front, delicate outdoor seating and a flurry of sugar-coated edible treats inside, Peggy Porchen's is as feminine and refined as cake-scoffing gets.

They say that when shoppers get excited about a potential purchase purchase, their frontal lobe glows bright pink on a brain scan. This could happen here too, not least when you take a peak at the cream tea option. Peggy Porschen has teamed up with Laurent-Perrier Cuvée Rosé to extend that much-loved pink hue even further. Peggy Porschen will be serving up exquisite cakes and confectionary at her Parlour in Belgravia, including sumptuously soft Strawberry & Champagne Cupcakes, all accompanied by a chilled glass of Laurent-Perrier’s Cuvée Rosé champagne. With it comes a selection of Peggy’s own blend tea – the perfect way to spend a lazy summer’s afternoon.

Made from hand-sorted Pinot Noir grapes, Laurent-Perrier’s Cuvée Rosé champagne uses the unique ‘saignée’ method. This is unlike most other rosés which are made simply by blending red and white wines. Matched with bespoke, hand-made edible works of art from Peggy and her team of pastry chefs, this champagne really works well as a partner with its berry notes and hints of fruit.

The moral of this story?

Forget shopping people, and just eat cake.

Laurent-Perrier Cuvée Rosé will be available at Peggy’s parlour to accompany any cakes and confectionary, priced from £15 for a cupcake and glass of Laurent-Perrier Cuvée Rosé. For more information, please visit: http://www.peggyporschen.com
