Fairtrade Brazil Nuts and Dried Apricots

Fairtrade Brazil Nuts and Dried Apricots

Fairtrade Fortnight saw Tesco launch this new nut mix of brazil nuts and dried apricots. The supermarket giant now sells five Fairtrade nut products on its shelves and currently stocks the nut mix in over 600 branches of Tesco.

No salt or sugar is added to the nut mix which serves as a simple and healthy snack to nibble on. Whilst you're nibbling on this dried fruit and nut combo, you can be happy in the knowledge that your purchase is having a great effect on your health and a positive impact on farmers and their livelihoods on the other side of the globe.

Over 13,000 nut farmers in Bolivia, Malawi, Mozambique and India will benefit from sales of Tesco's Fairtrade nut products as will apricot farming groups from Pakistan. More than a quarter of all brazil nuts used in Tesco's fresh produce department now carry the FAIRTRADE Mark.
