The Lavazza A Modo Mio coffee system (meaning ‘my way’) provides an easy way to create full bodied, aromatic Italian coffee at the press of a button. Different to other coffee machines, the A Modo Mio utilises capsule technology and premium Lavazza coffee - meaning that each cup you make is as fresh as it can possibly be.
Neat and compact, the machine takes up very little space on the worktop. It is available in a range of colours to suit your kitchen and features an integrated steam arm which enables you to achieve the precise milk foam texture required for cappuccinos and lattes. Extremely straightforward to use, the machine has a removable container which is filled with water, it’s then switched on and is ready to use in less than a minute. The pod system couldn’t be more efficient - simply pop your chosen pod into the slot at the top of the machine, pull a lever and a press a button. It’s that straightforward.
A range of coffees are available in the pod format, including an exceptionally smooth and creamy Cafe Crema Dolcemente (my favourite); the 100% Arabica Appassionatamente, a dark full bodied blend; and Intensamente, a 50% Arabica, 50% Robusta blend with great body and a richness of roasted aromas. There is also an excellent decaf. All the coffees have a luxurious crema so thick that sugar takes a moment to slowly sink through it.
I now cannot drink any other coffee without feeling disappointed. The A Modo Mio has turned this Tea Jenny into a self-confessed coffeeholic, but when it tastes this good it’s impossible to resist!
The A Modo Mio retails from £119 and is available to buy from www.lavazzamodomio.co.uk, John Lewis, Debenhams, Fenwicks and Bentels. The coffee pods are available from www.lavazzamodomio.co.uk, Waitrose, Selfridges and Tesco Direct, at £3.59 for a box of 16.
